Greetings from CeresMED!

Creating this month’s message feels like a round robin of thoughts and ideas competing to take center stage. I am attributing it to the seasons and the rhythms I have developed within them throughout my life. For me, the fall has always been a time of increased productivity and creativity. The start of school and return to organized sports, the sunny, crisp days and the cool nights, the local harvests, and the shift in diet from salads to stews…all of it gets my wheels turning and my motor running. This month I translate this energy into quick updates on a variety of activities happening here at CeresMED. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Today we have some wonderful, new CBD-infused tea blends arriving at all of our dispensary locations and our Flagship Ceres store in Burlington. They are the latest product line available from our friends at Barbari. Each blend is made with organic herbs formulated for effect and full spectrum hemp extract. The concept of matching cannabis with companion botanicals aligns with our vision of cannabis as the “gateway herb.” Cannabis belongs in the complete herbal apothecary. Incorporating more herbs into your health & wellness routine can boost the effectiveness of cannabis for symptom relief. I am a big fan of mixing the Barbari herbal smoking blends with my homegrown cannabis to create my desired effect. Two-thirds smoking blend and one-third cannabis is my current sweet spot. Now I am pairing this activity with a delicious cup of tea which provides a 10mg dose of CBD. The Self-Centered blend has a home in my nighttime, wind-down routine.

Today is also our first day operating with LeafLogix and Dutchie at our CeresMED South locations. Yesterday’s launch in South Burlington went very well. We received a ton of positive feedback from patients about the improved user experience, and our sales team is very excited about the efficiencies they have gained with this migration. We can now fulfill more orders daily and will soon be able to lift the limits within the ordering timeframes. As a side note, we are happy to report that we used this transition as an opportunity to increase your purchasing power on two of your favorite products; Little Flowers and Shake. These now receive incremental discounts when you buy in bulk, just like our Garden Variety Flower. We are also now able to have veterans and patients in our Financial Assistance Program apply their standard discounts to these products. Win-Win!

Our Integration with SLANG Worldwide is commencing smoothly. Of particular excitement to me has been introducing our product development team to our new colleagues on the District Edibles and Lunchbox Alchemy teams in Colorado and Oregon, respectively. We are learning a great deal from our shared experiences as pioneers in the regulated market and look forward to our future innovations together. I see gummies on the horizon. 😀

Call to Action! We are just $80 away from reaching $10,000 in total funds raised for the Last Prisoner Project through the Roll it Up for Justice Program. We greatly appreciate all who have donated thus far to this critical cause through our dispensaries, Ceres Natural Remedies stores and at our events. In an effort to meet this milestone together in September, we will be matching all donations that we receive this month. Donations can be made in person at the register or in our Dutchie online store. Let’s do this!

We are coming to the end of our summer event season, and by all accounts, it was a huge success. Higher Ground’s Backside 405 Concert Series brought live music back to Burlington in a safe and celebratory outside setting. Our brand ambassadors were at many shows handing out free hemp products, and we did a pop-up store on three occasions. It was great to mingle with old friends and make new ones. We learned that Bob Wagner is a huge trētap CBD fan and are talking about a future collab. Our Ceres team in the Point to Point powered by VSECU event met our goal of $4,200 raised for the Vermont Foodbank. That translates to 7,000 meals for Vermonters in need. And our sponsorship of the Intervale Center’s summer season helped raise over $100,000 at the Midsummer’s Feast. That money will go directly to strengthening community food systems here in Vermont. Summervale wraps tomorrow night. We are the featured sponsor and will be there from 5:30-8pm sampling trētap CBD and educating on the effective use of cannabinoids. Hope to see you there!

In Good Health,

Bridget Conry
