Greetings from CeresMED,

August has arrived, and with it, what I have always referred to as the lazy days of summer. A time to slow down a little, catch up on your summer reading list, and enjoy the harvests from your vegetable garden or those from your favorite local farmers. Maybe even take a vacation. It is also a great time to attend some of the wonderful cultural events in Vermont.

At Ceres, we have always placed a lot of value on supporting the arts and nonprofits in our community that bolster the Vermont way of life. This summer is no different, and August is particularly busy! We are sponsoring the Backside 405 concert series presented in collaboration with Higher Ground and Burlington City Arts all summer long. The aim of this series is to bring people safely together outdoors to enjoy live entertainment while also giving local and regional musicians the opportunity to perform for the first time in over a year.

LPP swag available in our upcoming raffle at Backside 405

In addition to our sponsorship, we will also be onsite selling our trētap CBD and Ceres products during a few key shows that feature Burlington performers. This past weekend, we had the pleasure of tabling at the Dwight and Nicole show. Up next is Rough Francis on Saturday, August 7th. At this event, we will also be promoting and collecting donations for the Last Prisoner Project. All who donate will be entered into a raffle for some cool LPP and Ceres swag. Ceres will also match all donations that are received. Finally, on August 21st, our team will be present for local favorite Kat Wright. Please stop by and say hello if you are at the show. Bring your VMR ID and receive one of our new CBG Hemp Pre-rolls for free!

This coming Saturday, 8/7, we will also be present at the Point to Point celebration on the State House lawn from 12-5. This is the 20th Anniversary of the event, which serves to raise funds and awareness for the Vermont Foodbank. Ceres Natural Remedies and trētap CBD are sponsors this year. We have also fielded a team of runners and cyclists to boost the fundraising efforts. To date, our team has raised $4010, placing us just $190 away from our goal of $4200! Please consider a small donation to help fight hunger in our brave little state. If you are in Montpelier on Saturday, stop by our tent and say hello! We will be sampling all four of our trētap CBD sparkling beverages. In addition, the celebration will include live music, food trucks and a Harpoon Beer Garden.

Last but certainly not least, we are continuing our long-standing support of the Intervale Center through sponsorship of their Summer Event Season, celebrating local food and family fun in the heart of Burlington. This year’s events include Summervale, the Midsummer Fundraiser Dinner and the Love the Land recreational activities. If you are in the area, we highly recommend a visit to the Intervale Center to take advantage of their free programming, including birding, foraging, gear demos and a series of outdoor cooking classes done in partnership with City Market. This month’s gear demo on Abenaki Traditional Fishing Techniques sounds particularly interesting and takes place on Wednesday, August 11th. Ceres Natural Remedies is a featured sponsor on the last night of  Summervale on Thursday, September 2nd. We will be there sampling trētap CBD and educating on our products. We will be sure to send you a reminder in the September Dish!

In Good Health,

Bridget Conry
